Featuring a wealth of unpublished material, primarily from the original magazine editions, never before published in a book.
This volume allows you to experience the unknown side of Sharaku Hosuke!
July 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the serialization of "The Three-Eyed One" (serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 1974 to 1978), and this first-ever edition features carefully selected episodes that were reorganized for the book. Additionally, by including the corresponding pages from the book, you can enjoy comparing the originals and savoring Tezuka Osamu's brilliant editing techniques.
Also included are various art related to "The Three-Eyed One," including replaced panels from each episode, approximately 60 newly discovered storyboards and character sketches, cuts from guest appearances in other works, setting materials for the main character, Sharaku Hosuke, drawn by Tezuka himself for the anime, a handwritten synopsis, and the cover art from the serialization.
In other words, it is a collection of the remains of "The Three-Eyed One" that were lost when the manga was published in book form, making it a luxurious volume that could only be realized in celebration of the 50th anniversary.
This book contains some words and descriptions that would be considered inappropriate today, but because the author is deceased and there is no discriminatory intent behind them, they have been reproduced in this book as the original magazine version without any corrections or alterations.
