Organic Inulin is a fructooligosaccharide (FOS) or soluble prebiotic fiber that is resistant to the effects of digestive enzymes and reaches the colon without significant changes.
Functional action:
This product is used in the manufacture of baby food, pastries, dairy products, chocolate, dietary products, as well as in the production of semi-finished products (instant food products). In medicine, it is used as a bioactive additive for the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus (type 2), it lowers blood sugar levels and reduces the likelihood of complications.
In addition, inulin is actively used in the treatment of acute and chronic infections of the gastrointestinal tract; dysbacteriosis, bone diseases, chronic colds, gastritis and hepatitis. Also, these products containing inulin contribute to the excretion of radionuclides and heavy metals from the body, stimulates the growth of bone tissue, and strengthens the immune system.
Intestinal probiotic bacteria consume inulin and, in turn, produce short-chain fatty acids that nourish the cells lining the colon. Thus, inulin helps maintain intestinal health and function.
Inulin has a pleasant taste that makes foods and drinks a little sweeter, but at the same time has a very low glycemic index. It will also not negatively affect blood glucose levels.
