Pablo Picasso
Painter, sculptor, and printmaker from Malaga, Spain in 1881. He first visited Paris, the city of art and culture when he was 19 in 1900, and moved his creative base to Paris from 1904 to the 1940s. In Paris, he interacted with famous artists such as Henri Matisse and Georges Braque, and was greatly influenced by his creative activities. Picasso is also known as the founder of Cubism, which fundamentally changed the way we look at objects after going through important periods such as the “blue age” and the “rosy age” in Paris. The historical masterpieces “Daughters of Avignon” and “Guernica” are representative works that embody their originality and social message. The attitude of constantly seeking innovation is not limited to the art world, but also extends to various fields such as sculpture, ceramics, literature, and music, and is deeply engraved in many contemporary artists.
