The Haruna was commissioned in 1973 as the JMSDF's first helicopter destroyer (DDH).
A total of four ships, including its sister ship, the Hiei, and two improved Shirane-class destroyers, served for a long time.
The Haruna was subsequently decommissioned in 2009 with the commissioning of the Hyuga-class, which had full-length decks.
This kit recreates the final appearance of the Haruna as a full-hull model.
Newly added parts: Full-hull hull bottom and various satellite communication antennas.
Available for offshore or full-hull model.
