Regular round pegs are difficult to use because they rotate around in the ground, but oval pegs penetrate well even on hard ground mixed with gravel or stones, and are firmly fixed without spinning around in the ground. In addition, the material is designed to be thicker in the direction of the rope's tension, so it can withstand strength.
